Glenn & I were named "Most Dedicated Fans" on the LA Weekly Blog!!!!!
over the last 2 ish years, Myself & then Glenn have become quite acquainted with @lizohanesian & (and then) @ ShannonCottrell of LA weekly. if there were any event, we'd see them, and it got to the point were we'd be telling them about our events and things (like Road Warrior Weekend). They offer great coverage of the epic/strange/subculture scene in the LA area! we love these Women!!!

I'm gonna get on that plane Thursday morning and I'm gonna get Christmas with my family in Bali dammit!
Bad timing or what? I feel bad for being bed ridden and not spending as much time with Julia while she was here. Friday night was a total blast though.
I was totally fine Friday, we went out drinking, then when we got home I got phone call from Ryo who came and spent the night which meant evening more drinking (tequila this time). He brought his high school yearbook (he had it to show mike who met up with before, it was pretty lulz worthy). Julia didn't join in on the tequila shots so she basically just laughed at us being drunk as hell. The poor boy was gonna pass out near the end (I vaguely remember Julia and I talking about how we love that pelvic line on men and him drunkenly murmuring "I have that line..." and tugging at his pants, thank got he didn't pull them down altogether OAO). We had to literally drag him to the ladder of my loft bed(can't wait to get a real bed!). I wasn't much better as I had no dinner and had to get up to puke(thankfully everyone else was asleep at that point and I made it to the bathroom in time). But it was cool that he could meet one of my friends and it was pretty damn fun.
Next morning, Ryo missed his alarm 8 billion times(it's fucking annoying and loud, I dunno how) and I walked him to the station. I was coughing a bit and my throat was sore but I thought it was just from throwing up the night before. Coughing didn't go away and by the time Julia and I got to the hip hop pizza place in Harajuku, I had like 0 appetite and stuck to some pasta, mostly bread (no pancakes!? wtf right). Coughing just got worse and I felt more and more drained. We got back around 7ish and I felt like I had a bit of a fever. Dinner didn't really feel good, the only think that didn't make me feel sick was dry toast. I stayed in bed the rest of the night. Julia was a sweetie and bought me bread, OJ and water the next day. She had a concert to go to but I stayed in bed the whole day. Stayed in bed yesterday too. Today I actually ventured out to buy some soup and water, but I felt totally drained after. But I think I'm coming over the worst of it. Saturday night, sunday and monday were the worst! Fever, coughing non stop with phlegm coming out, muscle ache and just feeling so weak. At least today there seems to be small breaks of feeling better then bad again. I've been taking cold/flue meds I got from the states too. Hopefully I'm feeling well enough to fly, but again I'm getting on that plane regardless. But I'm just wondering how I got the damn thing in the first place, bitch snuck up on me out of nowhere!
Just annoying because I missed class on Monday, missed belly dance today, I wanted to run some errands and get more cream for my scalp..etc etc
Now Ryo's got a fever too, oops TAT/

Listen to this gigantic PILE OF FAIL that is my life.

I bought a DSLR camera about a month ago. I haven't been able to use it yet since I don't have any lenses, but that's besides the point. When I bought it, I figured I needed to buy a memory card too, because the Canon EOS series take Compact Flash, and not SD cards. So I bought a CF card on Newegg.com for about $30.

Then I realize the camera I bought is the first in the Canon EOS series that takes SD cards, not CF cards. FAIL.

So I put it on ebay. It sells for like a dollar more than I bought it for, which was a good deal for me. The guy pays, I go ship it. I ask for tracking, and the postal worker says I can't have tracking with the type of mail I'm sending. FAIL.

Two weeks later, guy files a PayPal claim against me because he hasn't received his package and he thinks I'm a dirty scammer. FAIL.

PayPal has seller protection if I can provide proof that I shipped the item. But there was no tracking, and after tearing my house apart, I find no receipt. FAIL.

I go to the post office and whine to the guy (he's an old Japanese dude who's been there forever and is my buddy) about what happened, and ask him if they have the customs forms from November on hand. He brings them out from the back, and I rifle through them, yet do not find mine. Then I realized that although I sent it to Canada, the memory card was small enough to fit in a letter envelope and didn't need a customs form. FAIL.

So it looks like I'm going to have to pay this guy 30 bucks because I can't find any proof I sent the damn thing :/

the happyokai/Christmas party was awesome! I had a blast and seeing Liza Laziza(famous Iranian Dancer in Egypt) is always amazing!
And what happened after got me choked up. Liza came up to me and said "Sweetie! You look so voluptuous when you dance, I couldn't take my eyes off you! Your hair, your eyes, your lips, your expression...gorgeous!"
Me!? Liza is saying this to me!? I'm sorry but I've been in a slump with my self esteem for the past month and never ever I would think I'd get a compliment from Liza Laziza...ever!
I feel like I can do anything now! That despite that this dance doesn't come so easy to me as others, I can still make it.
I need to practice more, continue with my diet(I got my belt to fit finally) and just give it my all(more so after my thesis). I want to impress her next year too! I mean it gets me down that Lesley and others can afford her $100 private lessons and go four times a week and attend as many expensive workshops as they like and there's no way I can spend that kinda money, but I'll get there. Slowly but surely, I wish I could be the same person as I am when I dance all the time :)

Stuff that happened this week! D:

- I subbed a couple times at the elementary school, which was much fun
- It snowed a whole lot, and there's still snow all over the ground
- My brother fell on ice and broke his leg/ankle and needed surgery
